(Ok, so I'm a little late getting to this since the giveaway is tomorrow, but we are in TX visiting relatives and I have not had a chance to get on the internet until today.)
My friend Christie Cotney is moving to Uganda on Wednesday!!! And you know those BEATIFUL Ugandan magazine necklaces that I am always wearing and talking about? She is selling those to support herself in Uganda. And, Tomorrow she is giving away THREE of those necklaces! All you have to do is go to this post on her blog- http://networkedblogs.com/b9k8O Then share the link on your fb page or blog. You can also enter by buying a necklace or bracelet.
And while you are at it, Christie has 107 children left that do not have sponsors. It is only $100 to sponsor one of these kids for a whole year. Please prayerfully consider sponsoring one of these beautiful children. I already sponsored one a couple weeks ago, and I am soooo excited about it!! You can learn all about sponoring a child by going to this link. http://compassinmyheart.blogspot.com/2010/11/sponsor-child-for-christmas_02.html

Most of you who read my blog know about Katie Davis. Today her sweet family needs your prayers. Please pray for little Jane, that she will be safe and happy in her new home. Please pray for her sisters and mama. I can't imagine what it would be like to have one of my sisters taken away from me. Please pray that the Lord would bring healing to their hearts.

146 Days, 21 hours, and 10min
I serve an AWESOME God!!! It is so amazing to know that you are doing something that God want you to do. Only 8 days ago I spent all but $50 of my Uganda savings on a plane ticket. Since then I have received $600! half of that came in the form of a check from a woman whom I just met TODAY when we went to Magee for mama's Dr's appointment.
.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13
All I ask is that I might serve in whatever way will bring gory to my heavenly Father. Today, it looks as if He wants me on a plane to Uganda. :)

The dream/149 days 'till Africa
Evidently, living in a mud hut in the middle of Africa is not what most "normal" teenage girls dream about. I guess I'm just strange. But, do you know what I want? More than anything? And just in case you think I don't know what I'm getting myself into, read this post. www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com That is the Africa that I want to be in. Do you think I'm strange? That's ok, I'm pretty sure I am. Why would anyone want to be in that Africa? That's where my heart is. How did it get there you ask? That's easy, I gave it to Jesus and He put it there.
Oosp, did I say live? hehehe.... :)

155 Days
This was always one of my favorite hymns when I was little.
Sweetly, Lord, have we heard thee calling, "come, follow me!"
And we see where thy footprints falling, Lead us to thee.
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus where'er they go.
Tho they lead o'er the cold, dark mountains, Seeking his sheep,
Or along by Siloam's fountains, Helping the weak.
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus where'er they go.
If they lead through the temple holy, Preaching the Word,
Or in homes of the poor and lowly, Serving the Lord.
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus where'er they go.
Then at last, when on high He sees us, Our journey done,
We will rest where the steps of Jesus End at His throne.
Footprints of Jesus that make the pathway glow;
We will follow the steps of Jesus where'er they go.
I purchased a plane ticket today. I am ready to follow where Jesus leads me.
